The Medieval Wood Bedroom Set

This set is a completely new addon to the Medieval Wood collection.  All objects are slaved to the sofa from the Medieval Wood Living Set.  I've added 6 more recolors of the sofa...5 in cleaner wood textures for your Middleclass Sims and 1 more weathered wood texture for your Peasant Sims.  The bedding and canopy drapes are slaved to Maxis bedding and I've included 8 new bedding recolors in various worn and semi-worn, coarse-textured fabrics befitting Peasant Sims.

To those of you who want to recolor the master sofa, it is necessary to use the shadow overlay that I created for the master texture in order to get a 3-demensional look on the object meshes.  I've included an overlay that you can use in your paint program.  Simply copy and paste it over the wood texture of your choice and set the Layer Blend Mode to 'Multiply'.  I've seen some recolors done without any shadows and they look flat and unrealistic.  This overlay should help you make better recolors.

The set consists of 8 new meshes

The wood and metal subsets of all objects are slaved to the Medieval Wood Living Set Sofa and must be included in your game for textures to appear on this set.  You MUST have the upgraded version of the sofa, found HERE.  If you don't have the upgraded version,  you'll find parts of each object will flash blue in the game.  A collection file with custom icon is included.  If you have the collection file from the upgraded Medieval Wood Living Set installed in your game, just let the new collection file overwrite the original and it will include objects in all sets.

Here's a few in-game shots:

All meshes by me, created in Milkshape.  All textures by me, created in PSP.

Everything is Basegame compatible.  Tested in a vanilla game with all expansions plus M&G.  Files are Compressed.  If you experience any problems with any of the objects in this set, please don't hesitate to contact me via email or in the comments area.

  2. Download isn't working for me, either.

I was wondering where your great looking floor rug is available from if possible?

    1. The rug is one of a set of Skyrim rug conversions by Wiccandove. I'm not sure where I got it...probably in a downloaded lot. You might try PBK.

  3. I love all your sets Ray! At this rate we'll have a whole hovel decorated in no time!
Are those windows also of your creation?

PS - The Rugs are indeed WiccanDove's @ PBK: http://www.medievalsims.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=32368#p32368

    1. Thanks for the nice compliment. The window is not one of mine. It's a Kativip conversion included in her set "Legends Series 2014" The file name is "Window 05". If you don't have that set, I highly recommend it. There are several very nice Medieval-styled windows and doors, all with diagonals.

  7. Hi Ray, you do fabulous work and I've downloaded several of your sets...I love them all! I especially love the public restroom set and the outdoor patio set, will use these a lot and thanks for all the recolors!
There's just one little tiny thing that I hope you can fix in your patio set...the fireplace. It is a little too high. If you put a floor above it shows through the upper floor. I already fixed it for myself in my game but maybe other simmers would like it a little lower too. It's such a beautiful set!
Once again thank you for all your lovely creations.

    1. Thanks Dee. Sorry about the fireplace blooper. I've fixed the file and updated the download for the complete set. I've also added a download for just the fireplace fix that will overwrite the original so simmers won't have to download the entire set just to get the fireplace fix.
